West Virginia Investment Management Board, Charleston, moved $670 million into a State Street Global Advisors enhanced S&P 500 portfolio, said T.J. Carlson, CIO. The assets had been in an S&P 500 index fund managed by SSgA, he said. "We believe were in a market cycle where a slight active management (exposure) would pay off, he said.
The board oversees $5.4 billion in pension and workers compensation assets.
