Dallas Police & Fire Pension System is canceling its search for an active domestic large-cap value equity manager, said Richard Tettamant, administrator. Officials for the $1.8 billion plan decided not to terminate a $120 million passive domestic large-cap value equity portfolio, which is indexed to the Richards & Tierney Deep Value index and managed by AllianceBernstein. The plan began the search process a year ago because it wanted to move from passive to active management, he said. Because the passive equity portfolio has been in line with the current state of the market, the plan decided to cancel the search, according to Mr. Tettamant. Wilshire Associates advised.
