Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, will issue an RFP Friday for one or more active domestic large-cap growth equity managers to handle up to $600 million in total. The $8.2 billion fund is bringing its portfolio more in line with its Wilshire 5000 benchmark, said Amy Hoiland, communications manager. Partial funding will come from a $90 million active domestic large-cap growth portfolio managed by AllianceBernstein; the firm is being terminated because of lawsuits surrounding investments in Enron Corp., she said. Additional funding sources have not been determined.
The RFP will be available from the systems website at www.op-f.org, or by writing to Janeane Mayesky, purchasing manager. Proposals are due Aug. 16, and a selection is expected in November. Wilshire is assisting.
