Chicago Public School Teachers' Pension and Retirement Fund is conducting a shortlist search for a possible replacement for Deutsche Asset Management, its international active growth equity manager, said Kevin Huber, CFO for the $9.2 billion fund. Mercer Investment Consulting will present trustees with a list later this month, but also may consider retaining DeAM. Mr. Huber said trustees are concerned about DeAM's performance and staff turnover, along with its acquisition of Scudder. Further details were unavailable by press time.
Christy Pollak, DeAM spokeswoman, said investment officials at the firm were unavailable for comment by press time.
