West Sussex County Pension Plan, Chichester, England, placed Deutsche Asset Management, which runs a £400 million ($600 million) balanced portfolio, on watch, said Rosemary Burfoot, group accountant-technical. The £900 million plan also will search for a transition manager if plan officials terminate DeAM. "It’s part of a regular review … we have tendered for the transition manager in case we decide to change, but there are no plans yet; this is an open tender,” Ms. Burfoot said.
The plan is not using a consultant and has no plans to take a specialist approach, she said. The plan does use property and private equity managers.
