London Pensions Fund Authority conducts asset-liability study
LONDON - The London Pensions Fund Authority is conducting a triennial asset-liability study, said Peter Scales, chairman of the L2.7 billion ($3.9 billion) plan. Results are expected by the end of July. Consultant Hymans Robertson is assisting.
Roche picks Watson as actuary, consultant
WELWYN GARDEN CITY, England - Roche Products U.K. Pension Scheme hired Watson Wyatt as investment consultant and actuary for the L400 million plan, according to a Watson Wyatt statement. The previous consultant and actuary was Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow.
Leeds & Holbeck signs Chiswell
LEEDS, England - Leeds & Holbeck Staff Pension Scheme Ltd. hired Chiswell Associates to run L16 million in a multiasset balanced mandate based on a plan-specific benchmark, said Chris Holland, Leeds & Holbeck spokesman. The L33 million plan terminated Schroder, which ran a L16 million balanced mandate, said Mr. Holland. He would not provide further details.
The balance of the plan's assets are managed by Legal & General in a passive multi-asset style.
Nortel U.K. drops Jupiter, picks Fidelity
LONDON - Nortel Networks PLC U.K. Pension Plan, London, with L1.4 billion in assets, hired Fidelity Investments to manage L137 million in U.K. equities. Jupiter Asset Management, which ran the equity portfolio, was terminated after a trustee meeting last month. Diana Geneen, secretary to the trustees, could not be reached for comment by press time.
