Washington Metro Area Transit Authority Salaried Personnel Plan expects to conduct an asset allocation study later this year, said Ehsan Rahman, CIO and portfolio manager. The $600 million plan may search for new managers as a result, he said. The fund is considering increasing its exposure to fixed income and cash, Mr. Rahman said. Its current target allocation is 60% equities, 35% fixed income, and 5% cash.
The plan has not terminated a manager in 20 years, Mr. Rahman said. Alliance Capital and Oppenheimer Capital both manage equities and fixed income, and Clay Finlay and GLOBALT manage international equities.
The plan does not use a consultant.
