John W. MacMurray today was named independent trustee of the $20 billion National Railroad Retirement Investment Trust. Mr. MacMurray was vice president of pension and benefit investments at RJR Nabisco from 1988 until he retired in 1998, overseeing $6 billion in pension investments. He was elected by the trusts six other trustees. His term will expire in 2005.
Mr. MacMurray was one of 29 candidates identified by Russell Reynolds Associates, which the trust retained as a recruiter.
