San Diego County Employees Retirement Association hired Rocaton Investment Advisors on a short-term basis for general consulting services, according to a statement by Jerry Woodham, chief investment officer. The $4 billion system will review Rocaton and determine further action, although no timetable was established. Rocaton was created by former senior personnel at BARRA RogersCasey who left the firm after it was acquired by Capital Resource Advisors. BARRA RogersCasey was the systems previous consultant.
Separately, the board committed $10 million to Cerberus Institutional Partners II.
