Florida State Board of Administration, for the second time in two weeks, put off naming a successor to Executive Director Tom Herndon. The board withdrew the agenda item at todays meeting pending resolution of complaints by a female employee alleging an atmosphere of discrimination, hostility and sexual harassment at the Tallahassee-based FSBA, according to spokeswoman Lee Baldwin. The board thought it best to deal with the complaints before acting on the appointment. At its April 23 meeting, the board deferred naming Deputy Director Coleman Stipanovich as Mr. Herndons replacement because some board members said they had not yet finished interviewing him. Mr. Herndon has announced his resignation effective next month.
The boards next scheduled meeting is May 21.
