Louisiana Firefighters’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, hired Northern Trust to run a $21 million S&P 500 index fund for its $641 million pension plan, said Steven Stockstill, executive director. Funding will come from cash, he said. The fund’s asset allocation is 50% equity and 50% fixed income. Becker, Burke Associates advised.
