Richard Stensrud was named plan administrator for the $380 million Merced County Employees Retirement System, Merced, Calif., said Bill W. Smith, treasurer. It is a new position. Mr. Stensrud left the $22.6 billion Illinois Teachers Retirement System, Springfield, where he was general counsel, over a year ago. Since then, he has worked on a "special project for the state of Missouri, said Mr. Smith. Mr. Stensrud was replaced at the Illinois fund by Tom Gray in September; Mr. Gray had been assistant general counsel.
The Merced County funds asset allocation is 48% domestic equity, 40% domestic fixed income, 6% real estate, 5.6% international equity and 0.4% cash.
