Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, is searching for two active domestic value equity managers to run $73 million in a large-cap style and $123 million in a small-cap style, said Robert E. Jones, executive director.
The large-cap portfolio currently is managed by Oppenheimer Capital; the $1.25 billion pension plan is conducting the search for performance reasons, but Oppenheimer has been asked to rebid, he said. Responses are due April 19, and a selection is expected June 21, Mr. Jones said.
Funding for the small-cap portfolio will come from David L. Babson & Co., which runs $123 million in a similar style, he said. This move is also performance-related, but Babson also will be asked to rebid, he said. RFPs will be issued April 17; responses are due May 24, and a selection will be made July 19, he said.
Managers interested in either search can contact the system via e-mail at [email protected] Asset Consulting Group will assist with both searches.
