Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, soon plans to issue an RFP for a master record keeper. The $54 billion plans custodian, Bank One, does not provide the accounting service, said Neil Toth, director of investments.
The system also hired Townsend Group as its real estate consultant. The plan has $4.5 billion in real estate, and its target allocation is 9% of total assets, Mr. Toth said. Cooper Consultants assisted.
Separately, Jim Wright was named assistant investment officer-domestic equities, effective April 3. He will replace Dan Sarver, who will remain with the plan in an undetermined role. Mr. Wright was a private wealth portfolio manager at Banc One Investment Advisors.
