InvestorForce shut down its two-person internal news operation, Investor News Service, and news editor Richard Chimberg has left the company. Eric Egmont remains with InvestorForce. Jim Morrissey, InvestorForce president, said the online search engine will use financial news from Dow Jones on its website, www.investorforce.com.
InvestorForce set up Investor News Service two years ago as an independent unit covering the money management business and had two staff members in Boston and one in New York; the New York employee left six months ago and was not replaced, Mr. Morrissey said. The company will focus on developing technology and providing financial news content from outside sources, Mr. Morrissey said.
