Colorado County Officials and Employee Retirement Association, Denver, put BlackRock on watch for performance, said Rick Rodgers, director of marketing and client services. BlackRock manages a $14.5 million active small-cap growth equity fund offered as an option in CCOERAs 457 and 401(a) plans, which total $462 million. BlackRock has a policy of not commenting on client issues, according to a spokesman who declined to be identified.
Separately, CCOERAs board is expected to add a self-directed brokerage account by April. Mr. Rodgers said the account will give participants a wider array of investment options. mPower, which was hired in October, will help participants with their choices, he added.
