The Blackstone Group announced the final closing of its Blackstone Real Estate Partners International fund, with $696 million in commitments, substantially more than its initial target of $522 million. Investors in the new fund include the $47.3 billion Ohio State Teachers Retirement System, Columbus; $40 billion pension fund of International Business Machines Corp., Stamford, Conn.; $26.3 billion Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association, Denver; and $4.9 billion South Dakota Retirement System, Pierre.
