Irish National Pensions Reserve Fund, Dublin, with 6.5 billion euros ($5.7 billion) in assets, hired Barclays Global Investors to run 1.1 billion euros in passive eurozone equities and 690 million euros in passive U.S. equities. The system also hired Bank of Ireland Asset Management/State Street Global Advisors to manage a passive 1.1 billion eurozone equity portfolio.
The appointments follow a public tendering process launched last July, said Deborah Reidy, head of investment manager selection for the system.
