Adams County Retirement Plan, Brighton, Colo., is evaluating a shortlist of active domestic small-cap growth equity managers to run $32 million, replacing RS Investment Management, said JoAnn Mendenhall, plan administrator. The firms under consideration are: Columbia Management; Constitution Research & Management; Cordillera Asset Management; and John McStay Investment Counsel. The $127 million pension plan terminated RS because of complications after its portfolio manager resigned, she said.
A manager should be selected by April 1, she said. Watershed Investment Consultants is advising. The plans current allocation is 60% equities, 40% fixed income.
