New York State Deferred Compensation Plan, Albany, is considering switching to a bundled approach for its $4.7 billion plan. Its $2.8 billion portfolio of 25 mutual fund options is managed by 14 companies. The plan also has $1.9 billion in a stable income fund, run by 11 managers, which will not be affected. Within the next few weeks, the plan will search for investment managers offering no-load mutual funds in all major asset classes, and "we will use this time to consider bundled providers as well, said Julian Regan, executive director.
