David Znamierowski was named president of Hartford Investment Management and chief investment officer of The Hartford. He will oversee all of The Hartfords worldwide investment operations, including more than $70 billion in invested assets; $19 billion of those are managed for non-affiliated investors. He will continue as director and president of the Hartford mutual funds.
Mr. Znamierowski replaced Brenda Furlong, who left for family reasons, said Joyce Willis, spokeswoman. The CIO position has been vacant for some time, Ms. Willis said. Mr. Znamierowski was senior vice president and CIO for The Hartfords life insurance unit.
