Felix Kottmann, senior consultant at Swiss pensions consultant Complementa, was named an external consultant to the three pension funds of the Swissair Group, Zurich. The move is a result of the firms bankruptcy declaration. He will advise Swissair on pooling the investments of its pension plans the 3.8 billion Swiss franc ($2.3 billion) VEF plan for flying staff, the 6.5 billion franc APK plan for ground staff, and the 700 million franc KV plan for senior management. Mr. Kottmann will start his own consulting business but will remain president and managing director of manager search website, managerselection.com.
Mr. Kottmann was responsible for business relations and special projects at Complementa. The firm is looking for his replacement, said Michael Brandenburg, COO.
Separately, Adrian Gautschi was promoted to head of Complementas investment controlling division after Benjamin Brandenberger retired from day-to-day operations in July. Mr. Brandenberger remains CEO and chairman.
