Sempra Energy, San Diego, is searching for an active international equities manager to run a $140 million Pacific Basin portfolio, said Brian Chew, director of pension and trust investments. "There are performance issues with current manager INVESCO, Mr. Chew said, but he added that the $2.8 billion pension fund conducts a periodic review anyway. INVESCO can rebid.
The pension fund has developed a shortlist of managers internally but will entertain inquiries, he said. Fund officials plan to make a selection in three to six months.
