Sempra Energy, San Diego, is searching for an active international equities manager to run a $140 million Pacific Basin portfolio for its $2.8 billion pension fund, said Brian Chew, director of pension and trust investments. "There are performance issues with current manager INVESCO, Mr. Chew said, but he added that the pension fund conducts a periodic review anyway. INVESCO can rebid. The pension fund has developed a shortlist of managers internally but will entertain inquiries. Fund officials plan to make a selection in three to six months.
