CalSTRS issued an RFP today for a record keeper and custodian for its $57 million Voluntary Investment Program, formerly known as the 403(b) program. Responses are due Nov. 1. CitiStreet, the current administrator, will be invited to rebid.
The $103 billion California State Teachers Retirement System, Sacramento, also allocated $25 million to co-invest in New Enterprise Associates 8A, and made a secondary investment of $2 million in Thomas H. Lee Equity Fund IV. Also, the staff proposed boosting a $200 million commitment to Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund IV by $20 million to fund a capital reserve; the CalSTRS investment committee is expected to vote on the resolution on Sept. 5.
