HBV Capital Management added a European risk arbitrage fund, opening a London office headed by Daniel Harley, principal. New hires are Elliot Arnold, trader, previously a vice president at ING Barings; and analysts Matthew Dubicq, previously at ABC Arbitrage, Andrew G. Shpiz, previously vice president at Allen & Co., and Barry J. Steinhart, previously at Enron Capital & Trade.
HBV raised about $22 million for the fund, which opened to outside investors in June.
