Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, Boston, committed a total of $230 million to four private equity funds. The $30 billion plan committed $75 million each to two buyout funds, Blackstone Capital Partners IV and Berkshire Fund VI; $30 million to Quad-C Partners VI, another buyout fund; and $50 million to Polaris Venture Partners IV, a venture capital fund. The allocations were the result of an increase in the systems private equity allocation to 10% from 6% of assets.
