Washington College, Chestertown, Md., hired five managers to run a total of $93 million, said H. Louis Stettler III, senior vice president-finance & management. Royce & Associates will manage $3.75 million in active domestic small-cap value equities; Nevis Capital Management, $3.75 million, active domestic small-cap growth equities; Alex. Brown Investment Management, $55 million, active domestic large-cap value equities; Marvin & Palmer, $7.5 million, active international large-cap core equities; and Western Asset Management, $23 million, active domestic fixed income.
Partial funding comes from outsourcing internally managed accounts and from new gifts to the $105 million endowment fund, Mr. Stettler said.
