Pamela ODonnell, executive director of the $83 million Pittsfield (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System, resigned. Ms. ODonnell had been on medical leave since April. Her position has not been filled.
The Massachusetts attorney generals office is investigating the city of Pittsfield for taking $700,000 from the pension fund to cover city operating expenses, and then repaying the money interest-free. An audit by the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission prompted the investigation.
