David B. Deniger acquired the controlling stake in Olympus Real Estate from Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, which was a co-owner of the opportunity fund it founded with Mr. Deniger in 1994. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the partners of Hicks Muse will become "special limited partners in the firm. John R. Muse, a Hicks Muse partner, said the decision to change its relationship with Olympus was made in order to focus more on three investment sectors: broadcasting and cable; food and consumer brand products; and manufacturing.
