Carbondale (Ill.) Firemens Pension Fund trustees are interviewing five finalists in their search for a manager to run all of the funds $10.5 million in assets, said Ernie Tessone, city treasurer. Incumbent Salomon Smith Barney is one of the finalists; the other four were not identified. The new manager will retain the current asset allocation, which is 62% fixed income and 38% domestic equities. The boards policy is to review its managers every two years and interview other managers to see whats available, said Mr. Tessone. A selection should be made by July, he said.
