John Crocker was named president and CEO of the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan, Toronto, according to Mr. Crocker. He replaces Susan Crocker (no relation), who left the C$18.2 billion (US$11.7 billion) plan to pursue personal interests.
Mr. Crocker has been chief investment officer and senior vice president of investment management for HOOPP since joining the plan in late 1998. He retains those titles and said a decision on who will replace him in those posts will be made in a few weeks.
