Peter Chambers was named global chief investment officer of the newly combined investment divisions of Gartmore Investment Management and Villanova Capital. Mr. Chambers is CIO of Gartmore and will continue those duties.
Villanova is the asset management arm of Nationwide Financial Services, the holding company of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., which bought Gartmore last year.
Gartmore’s U.S. equity team, headed by Simon Melluish, will continue to manage its U.S. equity products, which will retain the Gartmore name, said Gartmore spokeswoman Vee Montebello.
