GIC Real Estate, the real estate investment subsidiary of the $100 billion Government of Singapore Investment Corp., committed $75 million to a $335 million joint venture with AMB Property to invest in U.S. distribution facilities, said Scott Peterson, senior vice president at GIC. The venture, GICs first investment in U.S. industrial properties, will own and operate 59 industrial buildings in six U.S. markets. AMB contributed $76 million to the deal. GIC has $3 billion in U.S. real estate assets.
