Swampscott (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System, with $25 million in assets, is searching for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run about $5.3 million. If the system does hire a manager, it would replace Freedom Capital, which manages the money in the same style. The system is conducting the search to "see what else is out there, said Kevin Leonard of consultant Segal Advisors. Deadline for proposals is April 24. The system plans to select a new manager this summer.
