Rockefeller Foundation, New York, might add hedge funds to its portfolio, said Donna Dean, treasurer and chief investment officer. The $3.5 billion foundation is looking for an asset class that isnt correlated to the public markets, Ms. Dean said recently at a Pension Real Estate Association conference in New York. Currently, the foundations asset allocation is 57% public equities, including international; 23% fixed income; 10% private equity; and 10% real estate.
