Zurich Capital Markets will acquire Managed Account Reports performance databases and indexes, as well as fund performance and trading adviser rankings. Terms were not disclosed. The deal gives Zurich the rights to MARs databases, which now will carry the Zurich name, said Garry Crowder, Zurich Capital Markets managing director. MARs databases track managed futures investment products including trading advisers, the funds and pools that invest in trading advisers, and hedge funds and funds of funds. He said Ernst & Young will go through MARs data, verify them and review the processes for collecting and analyzing data.
