General Electric Asset Management and Hines, through a joint venture, announced they have a contract to purchase the Atlanta Financial Center from Overseas Partners. Terms of the deal, which is in the due-diligence phase, were not announced. The Atlanta property, with three interconnected buildings comprising 900,000 square feet, is 97% occupied. Tenants include Robinson Humphrey, PeopleSoft and the Buckhead Club, one of Atlantas most prestigious private dining clubs. The deal is expected to close later in the quarter.
