Sen. Charles E. Grassley, R-Iowa, who becomes Senate Finance Committee chairman next week, plans to question Treasury secretary-designate Paul H. ONeill during his confirmation hearing tomorrow about the Bush administrations position on pension legislation. Mr. Grassley plans to ask whether the Bush administrations budget will include the pension package that died in the waning days of the last session, according to Jill Gerber, a committee spokeswoman. Mr. Grassley, a co-sponsor of the Senate version of the legislation, along with Sen. Bob Graham, D-Fla., intends to introduce the legislation next week.
