Louisiana State Employees Retirement System, Baton Rouge, hired Westfield Capital to manage $160 million in active domestic small-cap growth equities. Funding came from reducing TCWs active domestic small-cap growth portfolio to $160 million, from $320 million, said Robert Borden, chief investment officer for the $6.5 billion system.
It also made commitments of $32.5 million each to two merger arbitrage funds run by Kellner, DiLeo and Arnhold & S. Bleichroder, he said.
