Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District is searching for an active domestic small-cap value equity manager to run the plans $6 million in total assets. Funding will come from a temporary Russell 2000 value index fund managed by Vanguard, said Karl Tyminski, treasurer. Former manager Denver Investment Advisors, which also ran the assets in an active domestic small-cap value equity portfolio, was terminated due to performance and management issues, Mr. Tyminski said.
Ken Penland, chief investment officer at Denver, did not return calls by press time.
No RFP will be issued; interested managers should contact consultant Yanni-Bilkey. Proposals will be due in the first part of January.
