New Mexico Public Employees Retirement Association and the New Mexico Educational Retirement Board each has issued an RFP for providers for a new integrated pension administration system. The $7.5 billion PERA seeks a provider for a new, fully integrated system that will include practices, procedures, work-flow management elements, business process and organizational changes. Officials prefer a customized version of a proven integrated system or an Internet-based system, the RFP states. The deadline for submitting a proposal to PERA is Jan. 12.
The $7 billion Educational Board seeks to replace existing accounting software written by staff in 1982; the applications, which are in COBOL, require updating and major enhancement. Proposals to the board are due Feb 6.
