Hellman Jordan Management, a former affiliate of United Asset Management, repurchased itself today from Old Mutual, which bought UAM and its affiliates for $2.2 billion in September. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, said Nicholas Gleysteen, Hellman Jordan spokesman. Norton Reamer, UAM founder, was named COO at Hellman Jordan. "I have a continuing and warm relationship with UAM, said Mr. Reamer.
Hellman Jordan also announced a partnership with Simmons. The partnership, Jordan Simmons Capital, will develop and offer energy-related investment management products and services for institutional investors.
