Indiana State Police Pension Trust, Indianapolis, is searching for managers to run $75 million each in core fixed income and core-plus fixed income for its $300 million pension fund. The core portfolio will be benchmarked to the Lehman Aggregate index, and the core-plus portfolio will be expected to add more value through high-yield and/or non-U.S. allocations; those allocations can be 20% of the portfolio, or up to 30% in combination, according to the RFP.
Funding will come from internal fixed income, managed by the state treasurer. The fund is conducting the search after its studies determined that external management would offer better opportunity. Capital Cities is assisting.
The RFP is available until Nov. 20 by contacting Janet Sweet at [email protected], or from the state treasurers website under "publications and at www.state.in.us/tos. Proposals are due Dec. 1.
