New York City Retirement Systems, with $100 billion in assets, will issue an RFP Oct. 13 for managers to run $3 billion in U.S. small and midcap equity strategies, said Bob Pam, director of contracts for the Bureau of Asset Management in the New York City comptrollers office. Funding will come from rebalancing U.S. domestic equity indexed funds. Mr. Pam said the funds are looking for a variety of active domestic strategies. The fund will consider value, growth and enhanced index strategies that are actively managed. The deadline for proposals is Nov. 29.
The RFP is available on the systems website at www.comptroller.nyc.gov.
