Trading Technologies has created a separate business unit focusing on marketing its single-point trading system to multimarket electronic trading systems in Europe. The new unit, Trading Technologies Europe, tapped two senior executives at Deutsche Börse Group to help run and market the venture. Andreas Preuss, a former member of the Eurex executive board and head of Eurex business development, was named president. Michael Peters, who was head of development for Deutsche Börses electronic trading platform, Xetra, will become managing director and vice president of business development. Uwe Velten, a spokesman for Deutsche Börse Group, said the company would announce replacements for Messrs. Preuss and Peters at a later date. Mr. Preuss, who helped develop the Eurex, the worlds largest derivatives exchange, will be responsible for Trading Technologies European business strategy and operations, according to a statement from Trading Technologies. Mr. Peters will handle strategic business initiatives and partnerships in Europe.
