L.J. Melody, whose parent company is CB Richard Ellis, acquired Fogelman Beaty, a mortgage banking firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction marks Melody’s sixth acquisition of a mortgage company since 1998. Fogelman’s James Beaty, senior vice president, and Carl Bedwell, assistant vice president, will join Melody.
