Northern Trust formed a strategic alliance with technology company Business Objects to upgrade Northern’s web-enabled custodial reporting capabilities. Standard performance reporting templates are currently available, but clients often ask for more customized report presentations, said John McGowan, vice president of Northern’s strategic product development group. Eventually the enhancements will allow clients to create customized custodial reporting, rather than going through Northern Trust’s risk and performance services staff.
