Jim Craig, chief investment officer and director of research at Janus, today announced he will leave the company at the end of September. His CIO duties will be assumed by the Janus Executive Investment Committee, comprising company Chairman Tom Bailey and senior portfolio managers Jim Goff, Helen Young Hayes, Warren Lammert, Blaine Rillins and Scott Schoezel.
Mr. Craig is leaving to manage the Craig Family Foundation, established by him and his wife, Rebecca, to aid the disadvantaged in the Denver area. The foundation will start out with $1 million, and Mrs. Craig will serve as president.
Mr. Craig has been with Janus for 17 years, working first as an analyst with Mr. Bailey, the companys founder, and then managing four Janus funds.
