Virginia Retirement System, Richmond, is reviewing Julius Baer, recently hired by the $40.8 billion fund to manage $100 million in core international equities, said Craig Scholl, managing director of public equities. The review was prompted by the imminent departure of Julius Baer’s international equity team, he said. ‘‘Certainly an event like this, where there is such a high turnover of staff, might be reason for termination, but no decision has been made,’’ Mr. Scholl said.
